Mother Color Limited

The story starts back in 1985. Bangladesh’s garment export scene was booming, and fabric dyeing was suddenly in high demand. Spotting the opportunity, the company’s board jumped in and set up a modern dyeing factory at 8 Isdair Road, Narayanganj. They didn’t cut corners — the place had all the right machines and gear to keep up with production demands and hit the quality marks international buyers expected. That early leap gave the company a real edge. They built up technical know-how, learned how to run a tight ship, and got a real feel for how the knitwear industry works from start to finish.
Once they’d mastered dyeing, the next move was obvious. In 1995, they opened a sewing factory, starting out with just eighty sewing machines and six knitting machines. It was a small start, but things moved fast. Soon, they merged this new unit with the dyeing factory, creating Noor Sewing & Dyeing Ltd. By then, they’d already made a name for themselves overseas, shipping ready-made knit garments to places like Italy, France, the UK, and Denmark — proof that their products and export game were on point.
Growth kept coming. In 2004, with demand climbing higher, the board decided to build a brand new, 100% export-focused knit garment plant just a kilometer from Noor Sewing & Dyeing Ltd. This new facility, Mother Color Ltd., took shape at 160 Shahongaon, Enayetnagar, Fatullah, Narayanganj, covering 160,000 square feet. They ran things by the book, following GTZ (Germany) guidelines, and worked under the watchful eye of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA).
Today, Mother Color Ltd. is a powerhouse. Every day, they turn out about 25,000 basic T-shirts and 5,000 polo shirts. That’s just the start — they also make fancy T-shirts, rugby shirts, fleece jackets, sweatshirts, raglan tees, boxer shorts, and pajama sets. The team runs deep: around 1,900 skilled workers and 50 seasoned professionals keep the wheels turning. Thanks to this crew, the company keeps sending quality knitwear out to the world, always meeting standards and always moving forward.
